Supplies needed

First Class:
Fabric for quilt top only

  • Scissors (fabric and thread clipping)
  • Rotary cutter (45mm suggested)
  • Rotary cutting mat (no smaller than 11"x17"
  • 6" x 12" rotary cutting ruler
  • 6" x 6" square up ruler
  • Spray starch (Faultless heavy starch) Walmart under $1.00
Second Class:
  • Sewing machine in good working order (manual)
  • Single stitch plate
  • Bobbins
  • Sewing machine needles (sharp 70)
  • Thread to match project (100% cotton)
  • 1/4 inch foot - #53 Bernina foot with guide and walking foot
  • All items you brought to the first class
Fabrics Needed:

Choose a main focus fabric and 3 colors that contrast with each other. ?A light, medium and dard that coordinate will with the focus fabric.
  • Main focus fabric: 1 ?1/4 yards
  • Medium and dark coordinating fabrics: ?2/3 yards each
  • Light fabric: 2 ?1/3 ?yards, this fabric also used as the border and binding. ?If you don't want a border only purchase 1 ?3/4 yards
  • Backing fabric: 3 ?1/2 yards
  • Batting: ?42" x 55" (without border) or 48" x 59" (with border)

Buy the best quality fabric you can afford, it really does make a difference.
